Purim Costumes

Purim is a Jewish holiday that commemorates the deliverance of the Jewish people in the ancient Persian Empire from destruction in the wake of a plot by Haman, a story recorded in the Biblical Book of Esther.

Purim is characterized by public recitation of the Scroll of Esther, additions to the prayers and the grace after meals, giving mutual gifts of food and drink, giving charity to the poor, and a celebratory meal, other customs include drinking wine, wearing of masks and costumes, and public celebration.

For Purim, we feature queen and king costumes, biblical period costumes, Roman period costumes, Esther costumes, Mordecai & Haman costumes. Purim 2012 begins at sundown March 7th.
